Jurisdiction

The Dominican Missionary Sisters Adorers manage and administer their site from Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The terms of use of this site as well as any action or legal proceedings relating to this site are governed by the laws of Quebec. In order to be heard, a lawsuit against the administrators of this site must be filed in the judicial district of Quebec.

Purpose of the policy

In the interest of transparency, the privacy policy of Les Dominicaines Missionnaires Adoratrices describes our practices regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information on our Web site, in accordance with Bill 25, an Act aimed at modernizing the legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information, and Bill 39.1, An Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. By using the services of Les Dominicaines Missionnaires Adoratrices, you agree to the terms of this policy.

Management of personal information

The personal information collected from the website is that which you voluntarily provide on the site's contact form. We collect only your name and e-mail address from these forms.

We use cookies to perform statistical analyses of visits to our website (IP address, date and time of connection). These cookies are collected by Google Analytics and Google ReCAPTCHA. You can read Google's privacy policy here.

We use the personal information we collect only for services and requests for information or contact received via our website. Only those people whose work is related to your request have access to your personal information.

We retain the personal information collected for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or in accordance with the terms of our information governance framework.

We store your personal information in Quebec. However, we may occasionally transfer it to another Canadian province or to Peru. This only applies to the contact forms for the Eucharistic Fraternity of Saint Paul, Alberta and the Chaclacayo group of adorers. Before communicating your personal information outside Quebec, we take protective measures. In accordance with section 17 of Bill P-39.1, we conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to ensure that your information is adequately protected.

We use the best practices to protect the personal information we keep from loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction through the use of firewalls, passwords and limited access to personal information.

We do not disclose the personal information we collect to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

You have the right to access, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you, to the extent permitted by law. You may also withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by e-mail, telephone or by mail.

If you consider that your personal information has been handled inappropriately or if you believe that the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector has not been respected with respect to your personal information, you may file a complaint by contacting us at rprp@op-dma.com.
