September 7, 2020, Sister Ida Bédard, 94 years old, died at the Intercommunity Infirmary of the Augustinian Sisters of the Mercy of Jesus (General Hospital), after 71 years and 11 months of Religious Profession. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Gustave Bédard and the late Mrs. Laura Lambert of St-Joseph de Québec.
In addition to the members of her religious family, Sister Ida leaves behind her a brother, Jean-Marc (Thérèse Parent), and her sisters, Angèle, Isabelle (Michel Desrochers) and Odile, as well as many nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, cousins and friends. Sister Ida has gone to meet the Father's House her sisters: Florence, Marie (the late Jean-Charles Paradis), Françoise and Monique as well as her brother, Michel.
The Dominican Missionary Adorers and family members will receive condolences on Sunday, September 13 from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Memorial Center. WILBROD ROBERT, 738, avenue Royale Québec (arr. Beauport) G1E 1Z4.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 14, at 2:30 p.m. at Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola Church, 3325 Loyola Street, Quebec G1E 2S1. Given the current circumstances, and to meet diocesan and parish norms, the people wishing to attend this funeral must register no later than Thursday evening, September 10, by calling the Dominican Missionary Sisters Adorers Convent at 418-661-9221. Members of the DMA Fraternity and Eucharistic Families will register with their sponsor.
Wearing a mask and distancing oneself are mandatory at the funeral home and at the church.
